Ruto’s Secret Plan in Silencing The Kieleweke BBI Group
The deputy president is said to have plans to silence the opposition group in the Building Bridges Initiative meeting that he announced he will be attending and be part of. The function which is set for Saturday the 25th January 2020 will be held in Mombasa and will see many leaders attend the meeting as a section of Jubilee leaders had also given their word to attend the meeting.
The leaders are out to mobilize as many delegations as possible as well as supports with one nominated senator Mincent Omanga sponsoring some 20 buses to bring supporters from Nairobi and every constituency in the coast will give about 500 supporters.
However the office of the nominated senator dismissed this allegations of sponsoring delegates from Nairobi to attend the BBI meeting in Mombasa, the delegates being Rutos supporters but saying that they had requests from some residents of Nairobi to do so and that included people from areas which are believed to be ODM’s stronghold areas.
Speaking for the office, one senior officer said that they had received numerous requests from the people of various estates in Nairobi and especially Kibra which is believed to be an ODM stronghold area and that it was not about transporting Ruto supporters to the meeting. He further added that they wanted to facilitate the experience of the BBI meeting to the people of Nairobi before they got a chance to attend the same kind of forum in their County.
Phili Etale the Orange Democratic Movement communication director noted that the move by Omanga depicted the the Tangatanga team had lost its grip and power. He added that the team did not have any public following and that their meetings were comprised of hired crowds. An ally to Ruto one Didmus Barasa called for the ODM team to keep their cool telling them that ferrying people was just a move to unite Kenyans and it wasn’t a must that they were supporters of any group.
