No Masks for Korean President: The corona Virus scare
Kim has supervised numerous military drills in recent weeks as Pyongyang bases an all-out ambition to avert an eruption of the disease that has cleared around the world from neighboring China.
Thousands have been isolated and hundreds of aliens, including ambassadors, confined to their houses.
State media regularly urge citizens to obey health orders and publish images displaying worldwide facemask use — except by the supreme leader.
The Rodong Sinmun newspaper, mouthpiece of the ruling party, and authorized news activity KCNA have shown Kim overseeing firing workouts from a ditch, tent or shelter four times in the last two weeks.
Every time he has had his face exposed under a black fur hat, while all the officers next to him have worn black masks.
The North sensibly controls and standardizes imagery of Kim, and experts said his exposed features send a future note.
“He may want to show people that he is not scared of the virus, that he is above contagion,” said Rachel Minyoung Lee, senior specialist with specialist spot NK News.
“It is reliable with the root of North Korea’s control propaganda: that the Kim leadership is excellent in every way.”
There would be no sense he was denying the official virus direction, she added: “North Koreans tell that he is in an overall different league. “But they are taking precautions to prevent from the virus.
