How 2019 was for Kwesi Arthur
2019 has been idyllic and full of drama for the recording artist. The Tema rapper originally called Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior has contributed to bringing the new wave into real action. He is a young musician who has achieved a lot through his frequent releasing of good music, iconic collaborations and extraordinary live performances.
As most rappers would prefer to shoot their music videos in other places other than home, Kwesi went back home on 26th August 2019 and shot his single ‘See No Evil’. He is from a humble background and in 2019 he showed the world where he came from before all the prominence and glory.
“See no evil” was a reference of his origin. His childhood friends were featured who became upcoming young acts. This was his way of giving back to his homeland who in return gave him unconditional support and love. He sings about how the hardships shaped him and always made him stay focused and also thanks all those who always had his back all through.
Kwesi’s songs are listened to all over the world. Cardi B, a famous American recording artist posted a video of herself freestyling to ‘Don’t keep me Waiting’, a Kwesi Arthur’s song. Cardi B mentions how Kwesi is such a talented artist and how cute the song was.
Kwesi also had some beef going on that made his career more dramatic. This is a common doing in hip hop. He found himself tangled in a diss in 2019 with his said rival, Dopenation. The Dopenation twins, Michael Baofo and Tony Baofo blamed Kwesi for taking their glare of publicity during a performance. The twins recorded a diss track calling Kwesi a coward. Kwesi was afraid that that it was end of his career. The twins were looking for publicity through Kwesi but Kwesi was too strong for that. He continued making hits.
The Ghananian industry is said to be downgrading upcoming local talent. The battle for supremacy between Nasty C and Kwesi Arthur was short lived. They were both hoping that the start of September 2019 would be better. Different feedback were shared since both Kwesi and Nasty C are young and successful. Both artists are still struggling to get more in life. Kwesi has a bright future in the music industry and his fans look forward to the release of more of his songs.
