Boni Khalwale Offers To Guide Gideon Moi In Politics
After Gideon Moi was handed the leadership rungu that was his Father's Boni Khalwale has come up to offer teach Gideon one or two things in politics. The rungu which symbolises that Gideon will henceforth be the political leader of the Moi family was given to him by his elder brother Raymond.
Khalwale who was speaking during an interview with K24 revealed that Gideon was still an amateur who needed learn a lot for his success in politics “Gideon Moi has to come to our level now and ask us how we do politics, he has some learning to do now that his father is no longer here. For long he has relied on the father but he must now learn how to hit the ground.
We are there to teach him,” remarked Khalwale. Adding that Kenyans should embrace the Moi family but they however needed to learn to stand in their feet without the shadow of their father in politics. “We should forgive Gideon Moi and the entire family,” remarked Khalwale.
Khalwake was also in the thought that new strategies to create awareness of the BBI was needed. He added that the opinion of the people was crucial in the initiative and ought to be given much thought by the leaders. Gideon received the rungu during his father’s burial ceremony from his brother Raymond who said, "In terms of seniority and so forth, I am the leader of this family but in terms of politics, let me ask Gideon to come over.
" Moi carried the rungu everywhere except in church. It him who had directed that the symbol if power begiven to Gideon having guided him in his political career.Gideon accepted the gift with much humility vowing to take up the challenge and try fit in the big shoes. He added that the leadership of the Moi family politically bestowed upon him would thrive.
